Thanksgiving in a new house

Pinwheels, originally uploaded by mycountryhome.

Found a wonderful house and roommate by the first week. My front porch comes complete with pinwheels!

We decided it would be a good idea to have a housewarming/Thanksgiving combined on the actual day. What? An oven purchase, pumpkin-boil, four pies, generous potluck, and 25 guests of assorted nationalities later and we brought some quality T-day to PP.

Mr. Kim from the butcher – who cooked, stuffed, and made gravy from a 13 lb turkey that was demolished – called to make sure the Turkey was satisfactory because he worked so hard on it. We’ll call him back today to say it was a success.
